My dear friend, I have listened to your beautiful words and your heartfelt, sincere feelings about our suffering in Gaza and how a country so far away from us can be so deeply affected by our cause politically and in its parliament. I believe this is the essence of humanity, which knows neither borders nor distances.

If anyone outside Gaza took just a moment to imagine themselves living in a tent that offers no protection from cold or heat, needing large sums to buy basic necessities to feed their family, standing for hours just to get water to quench their thirst, then cooking under the scorching sun and washing clothes by hand amid constant threats from missiles and planes that could strike any tent and burn them or their children alive that person would truly understand the hell we live in.

This is the reality here, without exaggeration and with many painful details still untold. As doctors, we are forced to face all of this and prepare ourselves to treat the wounded, to welcome patients with open hearts and calm emotions in order to ease their suffering. It’s a daily struggle within ourselves to forget our own hardships and focus entirely on our patients, so we can help them as much as possible.

I read your posts and your messages, and I was shocked and stunned by the amount of official Dutch governmental support and investment in Israel. It’s heartbreaking and painful that this is the policy of a people who are among the kindest and most compassionate in the world, many of whom support human rights and international law. This is deeply discouraging.

Your words about nature changing when you remember Palestine and Gaza or when you serve our people this is natural, and I believe in it strongly. The earth is cracking and the seas are swelling with the blood of innocents who are being mercilessly killed by the thousands without compassion, mercy, faith, or conscience. Nature has every right to rage against the wickedness of mankind.

I love you as a brother and dear friend. I believe God sent you as a light in this dark tunnel to support me in matters that consumed my mind and strength. Thanks to you, I now feel a hundred times stronger and more at peace. I feel there is a solid support behind me, and life’s worries will no longer defeat me.

I’ve become calmer with patients and the wounded, helping them in every way I can. I even give those in need the money to buy food because I remember that God sent Mounir to support you as a mercy, and I want to follow Mounir’s example and support others as long as God has given me and satisfied me.

You’re with me every time I treat a wound, and I’ll ask them to pray for you because it’s thanks to you that I can continue doing all I can to save lives and ease pain.

Words of thanks aren’t enough for you. Stay well, my dear friend, until we meet and I can embrace you. With all my love, Peace be upon you ❤️🇵🇸♥️
